Myanmar's Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Thet Thet Khine warmly greeted Chinese visitors who arrived in Myanmar with tourist visas on arrival, the state-run television channel MRTV reported on Monday.
The meeting with the Chinese visitors took place at the minister's office in the capital city Nay Pyi Taw on Monday, the media report said.
The Chinese tour group's visit to Myanmar was facilitated by the collaboration of the travel companies from the two countries, it said.
The tourism minister during the meeting highlighted China as an important source of international travelers and expected to welcome more Chinese tour groups to explore Myanmar.
The Chinese tour group, which arrived in Mandalay on Sept. 30 from Mangshi City, southwest China's Yunnan Province, by air, is scheduled to explore various tourist destinations in Myanmar.
